Cascade: The Well

An arcade of falling numbers where merging is the consequence, not your move: you only choose the column. A landed block collapses the whole connected group of its value at once — two eights make 16, four make 64 — so it pays to build a pile and set it off with one accurate drop. After a merge the well settles, blocks fall onto new neighbours and keep merging, and every step of the chain multiplies your score up to nine times. Blocks fall faster and faster, and the 2048 tile detonates and clears the well. One-handed controls; your high score and an unfinished run are saved.
